This page is intended for Local Preachers, Worship Leaders and those planning Local Arrangement services. Listed below are some resources for climate action themed services.
- Climate Justice for All (CJ4A) – these climate focused, youth-led, global resources are from the World Methodist Council. There are eight videos, each focused on a different country, together with prayers, songs, scripture, eco reflections and discussion questions for each video.
- Climate Sunday Resources -these resources from Churches Together could be used at any time for a climate focused service and there are written sermons here that could be read at Local Arrangement services. Liturgy ideas too.
- Sustainable Preaching – this website has lectionary-based sermon ideas for all Sundays in the Christian Year.
- Season of Creation – the annual Christian celebration of prayer and action for our common home – 1st September to 4th October, 2021 – Theme: A Home for All? Renewing the Oikos of God. This is an ecumenical program. The downloadable guide includes a full service.
- Season of Creation (Uniting Church of Australia) – a three year, four-week cycle of readings, liturgies, bible studies and sermon themes. Themes are: Forest, Land, Wilderness, River, Earth, Humanity, Sky, Mountain, Ocean, Fauna, Storm, Cosmos.
- Let All Creation Praise (America and Canada) – resources for celebrating the Season of Creation. Includes liturgies, complete sermons that could be read at Local Arrangement services, and much more.
- A search on Earth Day or World Environment Day sermons and prayers will also turn up lots of other resources.
