Orford is a wonderful place to visit with some beautiful walks around the coast and the unique polygonal tower keep of Orford Castle to look in on.
If you go to Orford on a Monday or Wednesday you can make your trip even better by going along to the Chapel Tea Room at Orford Methodist Church (Open from 11.00 am until 4.00 pm) where you can be assured of a warm and friendly welcome. You can park on the road opposite the Chapel (please don’t park on the grass verge !) and walk across the field before or after your refreshment break to the coastal path.
The tea room serves a selection of salads, sandwiches and warm dishes together with a selection of delicious cakes. There is also a large choice of hot and cold drinks available to choose from.
In addition – Now the Chapel Tea room is open for afternoon tea and cake, every Saturday from 2pm – 5pm including Art Exhibition, Crafts, Cards, Preserves, Books, CD’s and much more including a stall which is fundraising for the Leprosy Mission.
