We are pleased to announce that Gainsborough Community Library have won the High Sheriff’s “Strengthen Your Community Award”. Our lay worker, Elizabeth Storey holds 4 regular activities at the library, Ipswich Methodist Craft Club and Choir, Time 4 You, Gainsborough Community Choir and Pizza and Praise. Elizabeth also undertakes pastoral care for members of the groups. She is also assisted by Debbie Peck and both of them can be seen in the photograph with the full team of helpers that work at the library.
This is a great example of the community work that goes on in our county town and the Ipswich Circuit are pleased to be part of this – true pioneering work in action in the community, sharing God’s love with disadvantaged people.
