Hidden talents?

I recently mentioned that I had been sorting out a lot of my belongings. I passed on some very fine crochet cotton to a friend who was lacemaking. These balls of cotton belonged to my mother who died 33 years ago. I had kept them in my sewing box with the intention of making something but I never did get around to doing so. My friend, Christine, made me a beautiful bookmark out of one of the rolls, as a keepsake.

This is now in my Bible and I see it every day instead of being forgotten and hidden away in a box.

My mum was a very talented hard-working woman who could do most things and I know she would appreciate the work involved in making this lovely piece and it was so kind of Christine to make it.

In our daily lives how many things lie hidden away? Do you have a gift or talent which could help another? You might not have used them for a long time but could you bring them out and share them with someone? Perhaps bringing a little bit of happiness or a gift of love to share. You might find that you get as much happiness out of sharing as the recipient does.

Thank You, Lord, for always sharing your love with everyone.
