You may well be wondering why there’s a photo of a tube of toothpaste with this thought. For nearly two weeks I’ve thought this tube is almost empty. Every time I go to brush my teeth, I think that this is bound to be the very last bit of toothpaste but each time there’s always enough. It seems to be an everlasting tube and it’s almost as if it is determined to prove me wrong. There’s always a little bit more.
Sometimes in life you may think that you are done. Completely exhausted and drained. You might think that you just want to curl up and sleep for a week. Every now and again I feel like this about writing these thoughts and I wonder if I should just stop. It’s at times like these that I get a message from a stranger encouraging me to keep going. So “Thank You” to all the people who encourage me and the others who keep the Thoughts for the Day going.
Philippians 4 v 13 says, “For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.”
I’m not a tube of everlasting toothpaste but with God’s help I can keep on giving “a little bit more.”
