I’m writing this on holiday in Brittany. There’s a perfumery called Beauty Success on a side street. How the French love some franglais! The shop sells a wide range of lovely face creams, perfumes and other toiletries. I enjoy wearing a little makeup and a good moisturiser, but I’m under no illusions. I’m never going to look, oh, 40 again! but one can dream, as I keep applying the stuff.
I Samuel 16.7 reminds us that’ man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart’. So, a daily reminder that’ God within us ‘is success indeed. So, I’ll keep on with the serums etc, but rejoice that God sees beyond the surface and I pray that he likes what He sees.
