Joan’s Jottings for 2nd April

Dear Siblings in Christ,

This upcoming Sunday is Palm Sunday; it will be different for us this year as we worship at home. I would like your help in creating a ‘Palm Procession’. Will those of you with digital cameras, please take a photograph of yourselves and email it to me TODAY (Thursday). I would like your photo to feature you waving some greenery cut from any garden plant. Or you could wave a coat or cardigan, or make yourself a paper palm leaf to wave. By submitting your photo, you are granting permission for it to be used and put on our website and social media – no names will be used.

I am also looking for volunteers to read and record scripture (audio only) for Holy Week over Zoom, or by some other means from your home. Let me know if you would like to participate.

Remember, God is with us through everything. Here is a video of David Haas’ beautiful song You are Mine. You will have to skip over the advertisement before you can listen the wonderful lyrics. I love the line, “Do not be afraid, I am with you.”

I am keeping you in my prayers. May God’s peace be with you all,
In Christ
