To celebrate the 65th anniversary of Chantry Methodist Church, the Youth Group have repainted the famous Methodist Church sign. This is now going to shine over Chantry even more now with its revitalised appearance.
Ray Sawyer recounted his experience of starting with a sign that people could view from the neighbouring “Kingfisher” pub and to general residents of Chantry, which showed much pride in the church. The sign was originally put up by Ray Sawyer and Russell Warne about 30 years ago and had started to very much show the signs of its age.
So here is the revamped sign, which it is hoped, will be back on the building very soon.
