What a wonderful world…. With a nod to Louis Armstrong
I’ve seen eagles soar, heard a cuckoo call
Saw a Dipper dance in a waterfall
I’ve seen mountains high, and valleys s deep
And a rushing river that can never sleep
And I think to myself…What a wonderful world
I’ve seen Highland Cattle with their long shaggy hair
And deer in the highlands and lambs everywhere
I’ve walked over cliffs overlooking the sea
Watching Gannets dive for fish for their tea
And I think to myself…What a wonderful world
I saw a river spring out of the ground
And sat on a hill not hearing a sound
Save that of the birds, busy tending their nests
The days are so long, there’s no time to rest
And I think to myself…What a wonderful world
To be continued next week
