Untangled

In a recent prayer meeting, someone said ‘God isn’t a God of muddles’. That set me thinking.  In the creation story, God brought order out of chaos. Jesus’ mission was to ‘bring good news to the poor, proclaim liberty to the captives, recovery of sight to the blind, set free the oppressed and announce that the time has come when the Lord will save His people.’ Luke 4:18-19.

He will straighten the crookedness, ease disease, unscramble the tangles and harmonise the discord. Where there is paralysis in the face of fear and uncertainty, He can bring action. Where there is mental fogginess, He can bring clarity; where there is turmoil, His Spirit brings serenity. Knowing Him brings stability from dither and assurance from bother.

God is all knowing and all loving. He loves you and knows what you need because He knows you better than you know yourself. Talk to Him now and let Him in on your struggles and the messiness that’s in your life. Cast your cares on Him (1 Peter 5:7) He can calm your anxieties and soothe your stress.

We have a wonderful God.
