This is Guyana’s National Flower.
Its roots are deep in mud.
The movement in the water tosses about the stem.
The leaves reach towards the light.
It flowers in the sunlight.
We too are born into an evil world and tossed about by events. We strive towards God to give meaning to life and to find hope and peace.
Bloom where you are planted, despite the difficult conditions you may be placed in.
