He told them another parable: “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and planted in his field. Though it is the smallest of all your seeds, yet when it grows, it is the largest of garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and perch in its branches.”
Matthew 13 v 31-32.
Once again, we have come to the end of the ten weeks of Tuesday Tunes in Felixstowe Methodist Church at Trinity. It has been an amazing time with the number of people attending ranging from 100-150. We have really enjoyed welcoming everyone to enjoy a time of friendship, a time to eat lovely food, a time of warmth and a time of fantastic entertainment.
When Anne and Ian started this Community Engagement Project four years ago they planted a seed which has grown from 35 to 150 people attending. It has become like the large mustard plant which supports others. But other churches are starting similar projects and with God’s help I’m sure they will grow into “large plants” too.
Thank You Lord for giving people the vision of how things can be. For places and events where strangers can become friends. Places where we can show your love to all. Thank You.
