Services Suspended

As I expect many of you will have heard by now, it is with sadness that we are suspending our worship services and all other meetings and activities in line with the latest Government coronavirus guidance. You can find the guidance from the connexion here: https://www.methodist.org.uk/coronavirus/.

We will be organizing ourselves over the next few days to keep in contact with everyone by email or phone.  We will also be offering some Sunday worship options for use at home with some printable material and some video material. We will endeavour to make as much as possible accessible to those without computers. We are also loaning out copies of our hymn books, so you will be able to sing along. If you would like a hymn book at home, then stop by at one of the times listed above, or let me know and I will arrange for one to be dropped on your doorstep.Although our church doors are closed, it does not mean that the church is closed. We are called as disciples of Jesus to offer love in tangible ways to our friends and neighbours. While we must exercise social distancing to prevent the spread of the virus, we must not allow this to foster social isolation and break down our communities. I encourage you to call one another and keep in contact with each other. If you need help, then please contact me.  We are assembling a list of people who are offering to shop or provide other help as needed.

Even as we are asked to create physical distance between each other in this time of illness, we remember that nothing can separate us from the love of God that we have known in Christ Jesus.

In all things, let us remember the words of the prophet Isaiah: Do not fear, for I am with you,do not be afraid, for I am your God;I will strengthen you, I will help you,I will uphold you with my victorious right hand. (Isaiah 41:10)

I am keeping you in my prayers. May God’s peace be with you all,
In Christ
