On the day that covid vaccines began arriving in the UK my wife, Dawn, saw a newspaper headline which said ‘The day that hope arrived’ and had a picture of a lorry disembarking from a ferry – presumably carrying vials of vaccine.
Dawn subsequently used this in an on-line talk and pointed out that in fact hope arrived 2,000 years ago in a stable in Bethlehem.
Of course we will rejoice and be thankful when our lives can get back to some sort of normality- but we can be joyful and thankful now that our hope is in Jesus, the saviour of the world.
May God Bless you during this Advent season as we both prepare ourselves for Christ’s return and celebrate His first coming to earth on Christmas day.
