On looking through a drawer for some more hand cream I came across a small tube called “The Ritual of Dao” and was intrigued by the title. So I googled it!
I found that Dao is an ancient Chinese philosophy which is supposed to help you find inner peace and tranquility. I’m not sure if my hand cream will do that, but I can always hope1
So many of us want and need more peace in our lives to combat the stresses and strains of the pandemic and in our general lives.
Jesus said “my peace I leave with you, my peace I give you (John 14.27). The angels said “Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace among men” to the Shepherds as they learnt about the birth of Jesus and there are many references to this peace throughout the Gospels.
Let us hope and pray for more peace around the world, particularly at this time of year and for peace in our hearts.
