Pray for your town

Watching Bournemouth versus West Ham United with over 60 000 fans was a wonderful, exciting experience. Rev. Steve Mann and I had a lovely summer warm evening supporting West Ham United, Steve’s team. We were there physically.

The atmosphere was electric as both teams took to the field, with funds buzzing in anticipation of a thrilling clash. The match featured an exciting back and forth dynamic, that kept everyone on the edge of their seats.

From the onset, both teams displayed a high tempo. The home side West Ham United dominated possession, showcasing, impressive passing skills and strategic plays. However, the away team Bournemouth was quick on the counter, creating several opportunities that tested the goalkeeper. A standout moment came when Westham United team scored a stunning goal in the 25th minute, with a brilliantly executed long range shot that left the crowd in awe.

As the second half kicked off, both teams came out with renewed vigour. The middle field battle intensified, with players showing exceptional skill and determination.

As the final whistle blew, the score remained one – zero. Both teams had delivered a master class in football, demonstrating skill, tenacity and sportsmanship throughout the match. Players from both sides embraced each other at the end, acknowledging the quality of the game and the respect they had for one another.

West Ham United fans left the stadium buzzing about the excitement they had witnessed, already looking forward to the next encounter between these two formidable teams.

Dear Lord,

As we pray for sportsmanship spirit of every match, we also pray for our Ipswich football team’s successes this season. May the players be filled with strength, skill, and determination as they play. Bless our coach and the staff he works with. Give them wisdom and strategy to lead our team to victory. The success of our hometown team will bring economic growth and joy in our town. May all the churches join in praying for our town and its developments.  AMEN.

With best wishes to Ipswich football team and all of you.
