At weekends when my children were small, we would often open a tub of popcorn and hunker down to share a film together. I’d invite them to take a handful of the snack and put it in a bowl on their laps and nibble as they watched. However, there was one evening when the tub contents seemed to decrease quicker than usual.
Then I realised what was happening. Whenever I left the room, they would ask Daddy to grab a handful for them. They had worked out that Daddy’s hands were so much bigger than theirs!
Our heavy Father has infinite hands for us. His provision never ceases. And what we know is just the tip of the iceberg of his love. How great is our God!
Luke 6:38 “You will receive a full measure, a generous helping, poured into your hands – all that you can hold.”
