It’s been a tough time for many with Covid 19, and January can often be challenging anyway. The January Light Mission Initiative is a response from the Methodist Church in East Anglia and Bedfordshire, Essex & Hertfordshire to spread the light of God’s love in January 2021 by:
- reaching out to our communities
- sharing friendship and hope
- bringing a little bit of January Light
How can you get involved? It’s a pick-and-mix approach. You can find all the ideas at januarylight.org. Just click on the button below. Options listed there include social media, postcards, six for sixty, light windows, light service, January candles, signposting, January chaplains, light in your town and creative prayer.
Every day we will be posting a video or picture in our Facebook group connect@methodistIC – you can join in the conversation by clicking this link
There is a worship service to launch the January Light project on zoom on Tuesday 5th January at 6.30 p.m. with Rev Julian Pursehouse (East Anglia District Chair), Dr Yasmin Finch (East Anglia District Mission Enabler), Rev Sharon Thraves (EA Evangelism Group Co-ordinator) and Angela Brydon (BEH Discipleship Enabler).
