Thought for the day – Monday 22nd June 2020
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future
Jeremiah 29:11
In these unprecedented times we have had to, and are continuing to have to, face many new challenges in our lives. Even more so now that restrictions are easing and we adapt to whatever the new normal turns out to be.
It is natural for us to fear the changes that are happening but we must remember that God has a very different perspective to us – Psalm 30:5 tells us that “his favour lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning”
We do not have to be worried by blurred visions of the future and chained down by fears and anxieties. God is always at work in our lives and we can hold onto that truth.
We are safe in His hands, He has good plans for us and He will help us to weather the storms.
