God’s Glue

I’ve just read a report from Loctite, the glue manufacturers (others are available!), revealing that there are more than 100 million broken household items lying around. I’m not sure how they know.  Surely the prevalence of having young children in the household would make a difference? Anyway, they surmise from this that at least 38% of these articles are destined for the bin.

Their claims are that each household could save £176 per year – adding up to £14,000 in a lifetime if they invested in their products and ‘upcycled’ rather than bin broken products.

Things break all the time. Shattered dreams and broken hearts. Fractured lives and cracked minds. Families split and people separate. Humans are fragile. Relationships can be destroyed with a wrong word. God’s love is the glue that can mend us and keep us together. He wants to give it freely to us – immediately, at any time. All we need to do is ask.
