We were having lunch one Sunday after Church.
Teenage daughters had apparently had a rough time that morning in the Youth Fellowship. There was a lad there who had been completely disruptive, butting in, making comments, questioning etc. In the end, one of the teenagers, in sheer exasperation said ” I don’t know why he bothers to come, nobody likes him.”
Meantime through all of this, small daughter had been munching away apparently oblivious. She was at the youngest end of Sunday School butted in and said “God Does”
There was a stunned silence and slightly shamed faces all round. But were they so different from us when we don’t see eye to eye with somebody and act as judge?
For me the greatest statement in the Bible is ” God is Love” …. no exceptions.
