EDI Training

The following groups of people are now required to undertake mandatory EDI training (as agreed by Conference 2021) by the end of the year.

  1. All ministers 
  2. Local Preachers
  3. Circuit and District Safeguarding Officers
  4. Circuit stewards and church stewards
  5. Lay Workers:
    a) Lay Pastoral Workers b) Children, Youth and Family Workers c) Pioneers
  6. Worship Leaders

This training is to help us live out our commitment to being a church which is inclusive and justice-seeking. We are now committed to life-long learning about the richness of human diversity and to learning from one another. 

Please note that this mandatory training does not supersede the requirement for members of Circuit Invitation Committees to complete Unconscious Bias training.

However, we know that online does not work for everyone so the Circuit has arranged two in person sessions:

Woodbridge Methodist Church 7-9.15pm on 28th November

Capel St Mary Methodist Church 2-4.15pm on Tuesday 5th December
