The other evening, I decided to bin some of my thousands of emails. It all started very well but then it slowed down because I started to read the email before binning it. Needless to say, progress was not good and I need to get back to doing more.
One email which stood out for me was based on Luke 12 v 22-34 about worrying. Verse 22-23 say, “Then Jesus said to his disciples: “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat; or about your body, what you will wear. Life is more than food and the body more than clothes.”
This is one of the things which I find incredibly difficult to do—to not worry. I know that I am not in charge of my life and that God has a plan for me but still I worry.
I remember my mother worrying all the time and I could never understand why she did but I do understand it now and have done since I became a mother. How many mothers all over the world are very worried about how to feed their starving children or mothers living in war conditions and worried about whether their loved ones will survive.
I think the only thing I and others can do is pray to our Heavenly Father for strength to cope and faith to remember and believe in the power of our Lord. Father, we place into your hands the things we cannot do and thank you for being in
