Decisions, decisions…

Psalm 46 v 1 and 10a.
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God

How many decisions do you make each day? I have never counted them and I think the number would be quite large. The first for most people would probably be “will I get up now or stay in bed a little while longer”. What will I wear today may be next and then what will I have for breakfast? Will I go for my walk now or later?

These are all simple practical decisions and easy enough to answer. There are other decisions which are much more difficult and painful to have to make. These are the times when we need to be still and listen for God’s voice.

There are certain things which are completely out of our control. Often it is when we take our hands off and let God take control that we see answers to our prayers.

God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.

Thanks be to God for his guidance and help.
