“Crem de la Crem”

Thought for the day – Tuesday 9th June 2020

Psalm 46 reminds us that “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”

During the very challenging times in which we are living, Crematorium staff and Funeral Directors have been working flat out. Can we please remember them all in our prayers.

As someone who has been taking far more funerals in the last few weeks than would normally be the case, I am very conscious of the extra care and attention that is currently being provided.

It is so difficult for grieving relatives at the moment, but I have been very impressed by our local Funeral Directors and Crematorium & Burial Ground staff, some of whom are looking very tired with the weight they are currently carrying.

A Prayer

Most gracious God we know that you look upon all who grieve in tender mercy.
We hold before you all who have lost loved ones in recent months, under these most challenging and difficult circumstances.
We also pray for all those involved in the care of the bereaved at this time, having to cope with far more funerals and very intense human emotion almost on a daily basis.
We pray for the Mental Health of those who are grieving and those who support them.

Amen

Thank you so much, your prayers are very much appreciated.
