Christmas Cards

This thought was first published in December 2021

I was writing Christmas cards today. Having lived in many locations I know many people and it seems quite a chore. I remember a conversation with an elderly lady from our Church here. The lady died some while back but I remember so well something she once told me. She said “I love receiving Christmas cards because it means that just for a few minutes I know that somebody was thinking of just me.”

Perhaps if it feels like a chore to you, imagine that each recipient of your cards is receiving just that little bit of love and wherever love is, there is God who IS love. That is exactly what Christmas is about.
