Matthew 26 v 43 says, “When he came back, he again found them sleeping, because their eyes were heavy.”
Many years ago, I couldn’t understand why my mother had little catnaps in the afternoon. I am now my mother. So often, in the middle of the afternoon, when I’m watching a quiz show, just as the last round is shown I doze off for a few minutes and miss the result. My eyes just feel so tired that I have to close them.
Thank You Lord that You never tire or sleep. Your love is constant each day. Whatever I face, You are there watching over me, loving, guiding and protecting me. Forgive me Father for failing to stay awake for You and help me in other’s hour of need to be there for them.
