Last Sunday was Café Church at Landseer Road. Our theme was ‘Love one another’ (John 13:34) and we had a wonderful time together. We started with a great song called ‘Praise’ and then we all made ‘praise copters’. We tried to get some decent pictures of them all flying down in the church, but they just kept twirling too fast! We had a record number of birthdays to celebrate and the puppets brought us a gentler song than usual as they sung a song called ‘Wonderful Life’ (based on Sam Cooke’s – Wonderful World)
The children love to join in with the last song and we made it easy for them to play the instruments by singing We Will Praise You (based on the similar sounding song by Queen!)
There were lots of crafts which all had the ‘Love one another’ theme after the service, and there were bacon rolls for everyone’s lunch ! Café Church is held every month and the next one will be on Sunday 2nd March starting at 10.30.
