At the Remembrance Service held in Felixstowe Methodist Church at Seaton Road on the 9th November we had a Poppy Fall at the front of the church. You can see in the accompanying photo that there are red, purple and white poppies but if you look closely there are different shades of these colours. There are also different sizes of poppies. They were knit by lots of different people but roughly the same pattern was used. It was completed quite a few years ago and each year when I bring it out it needs repairing. Some poppies are not perfect but when all of them are put together they make a beautiful symbol of Remembrance.
In life, the population is made up of many different sizes, shapes and colours of people and no one is perfect but if we worked together in harmony and with respect we could make a beautiful life and a better world for everyone.
Prayer: Dear Lord, help the imperfect to improve, the disrespectful to respect and the unloved and forgotten to feel the support of others. We ask for your love to be felt by all so that we can make this a better world. Thank You.
