When my son James was a child, he was severely asthmatic and really could do very little running about. His favourite toy was Lego and he had a lot. He saved all his pocket money to buy new pieces. I thoroughly enjoyed building things with it too and many Sunday afternoons were spent building some very imaginative creations.
He’s now 40 and Lego still plays a great part in his leisure time. I have been receiving some gifts of Lego as well and this Christmas he gave me a lovely Lego Table Centre to build. I haven’t started it yet but I’m looking forward to doing it.
It’s amazing how all the pieces fit together to form a fantastic and intricate item. Are our lives like that? Do all the pieces fit together to form someone who is living as God would wish us to do? Are we showing God’s love to others?
Thank you, Lord, for all your created things. Help us to all fit together and work for the good of all.
May you all have a healthy and happy New Year.
