More than all we ask or imagine

Ephesians 3 v 20.
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us


Do you ever ask yourself, “What can I offer to others?” Sometimes, it’s so much easier to focus on what you feel you can’t do e.g. I can’t sing, I’m no good at speaking in public, I can’t bake, I could never teach, I can’t knit or sew, I’m not rich or I don’t drive. Instead, you should focus on the gifts, the time and talents you do have, even though you may think they are too small to make a difference.

Over the last year I think we have come to appreciate how important everyone is, from the council worker who sweeps up the prom, or the cleaner in the hospital to our scientists who have been working continually to improve the treatment of the coronavirus.

We all can do something and when we ask God to bless it, we discover that He can multiply it beyond anything we can imagine.

The next time you look at a big oak tree, remind yourself that it grew from a small acorn.
