Dr Dwight Pryor is a Messianic Jew, that is, he recognises and accepts Jesus Christ as the Messiah foretold in the Old Testament, the Son of God and Saviour.
Dr Pryor is a very experienced Bible teacher.
In these cds he explores in depth and detail three aspects of Hebrew spirituality – meditation, fear and trust in YHWH, the sacred name of the Almighty.
As you would expect, the speaker is saturated with knowledge of the tanakh – the Old Testament but as a believing Christian, he reaches into the New Testament as well.
The teaching from these cds is replete with references from the entire Bible giving authority and credibility to what is taught. So much so that a biro and notepad would be useful as you listen.
However, it is important to note that spirituality is not confined to other-worldly experience but needs to find expression in practical, everyday living – doctrine and experience, faith as well as works.
All of these elements opened up in these three teaching sessions are, in effect, ways of deepening our love for a creating, sustaining and redeeming God.
