Memories

I thought with all the news around us now you all might like a bit of a smile and, although you have probably read this before, it still brings a smile to my face.  I don’t know where it originated from, but it has done the rounds in many a Church magazine and beyond.

“Everything is further away now than it used to be; it is twice as far to the corner and they have added a hill, I’ve noticed.

It seems to me they are making steps steeper than in the old days, and have you noticed the smaller print they are using in the newspapers?

There is no sense in asking anyone to read aloud, everyone speaks in such a low voice I can hardly hear them.

The material is so skimpy in dresses now, especially around the waist and hips,  it is almost impossible to each my feet.

Even people are changing; they are so much younger than they used to be when I was their age.

On the other hand, people my age are so much older than I am.  I ran into an old classmate the other day and she had aged so much she didn’t recognise me.

I got thinking about the poor thing whilst I was combing my hair this morning; and in so doing I glanced at my reflection; confound it, they don’t make mirrors as good as they used to!”

Remember God loves us all regardless of our age or ability.
