We were blessed with lovely sunny weather for our drive in service to welcome in the 4 new Churches from Kelsale, Knodishall, Leiston and Peasenhall & Sibton on Saturday 12th September.
This was a lovely occasion where people were able to come together to worship in a safe way – the first time that many of us have been able to meet, albeit through car windows, since the beginning of March.
There were a total of 43 cars on the field with just over 100 people singing in their cars to live music.
As well as welcoming in the four new Churches to the Ipswich circuit there was also the acknowledgment and presentation of long service awards with Ray Sawyer receiving his certificate for serving 70 years as a local preacher ! what an amazing achievement.
The service was led jointly by Rev. Derek Grimshaw from the Ipswich Circuit and Rev Peter Rayson from the Lowestoft and East Suffolk circuit. Special thanks to Peter Cole for all his hard work in preparing the field for the service and the provision of the generator, trailer and facilities.
We hope you enjoy the pictures from the service and look forward to doing something similar again in the future.
