Dear Siblings in Christ,
There is some news here from all three churches, so keep reading to find what you need!
Chantry
Chantry Methodist Church will be re-opening for in-person worship on Sunday 23rd August at 9.30 a.m. Face coverings will be required. More details closer to the time.
Chantry also have a social gathering in Chantry Park on Wednesday 5th August at 2.30 p.m. We will gather near the children’s playground and public toilets, and break into groups of six. If you come by car, use the car park accessed from Hadleigh Road. In the event of rain, this will be postponed. Bring a chair and your own refreshments.
Landseer Road
Landseer Road Methodist Church does not yet have a date for opening but is having two garden gatherings in the garden of the church, weather permitting on Sundays 2nd and 16th August at 2 p.m. Bring your own refreshments. If you are coming by car, bring your own chair. This is not a service, but a time to fellowship outside together. Please note that the toilets will be closed as deep cleaning is not scheduled until later in the month.
Museum Street
Museum Street Methodist Church is re-opening NEXT Sunday 2nd August at 10.45 a.m. The leadership team have been working hard to make it as safe as possible, and we had a walk-through and trial this week that went well (picture below). Please arrive between 10.30 and 10.45 a.m. wearing a face covering. The toilets will be open.
As we begin to have to wear face coverings in a variety of circumstances, here is your weekly chuckle.
And if you are experiencing this problem, then try watching this video which uses a strategically placed folded tissue at the top of the mask or this one from the Royal College of Surgeons which advises cleaning your glasses with soap .
I am keeping you in my prayers. May God’s peace be with you all,
In Christ
