Nine young people from the Ipswich Methodist Circuit, accompanied by four leaders and helpers, had a wonderful time at 3Generate 2026, held at the NEC Birmingham from 2–4 October. Two volunteers from our Circuit also attended as members of the 3Generate Delivery Team. It was truly an eye-opening experience for both the young people and the adults. The worship, activities and workshops were inspiring, enjoyable and educational. Travelling together with the participants from Tendring Circuit and Chelmsford Methodist Circuit was also special.
Nisha, who joined us as a parent and helper, shared her experience: “The 3Generate weekend at the NEC in Birmingham was a wonderful experience for our group. The children loved the variety on offer — from climbing and sensory play to arts and crafts, live shows, and plenty of delicious food! The highlight for me was seeing them throw themselves into all the physical activities with such energy and enthusiasm. It was lovely to watch them encouraging one another throughout, and they came away feeling part of something much bigger than our local church, with growing confidence and new friendships.”
Special thanks to Revd Vivienne Smith for her continued support and encouragement, and to all the parents, leaders, Circuit and District who helped make this possible. It would be wonderful to have a special sharing day in our Circuit, giving our young people an opportunity to share their experiences and encourage others to participate in future 3Generate events.
Above all, we thank God for his presence, guidance and protection throughout the weekend.
