Holiday Challenge

Something I’ve been doing this holiday is participating in a book challenge. I’ve always loved reading and I always used to envy my children taking part in the library reading challenge – being encouraged to read six books in as many weeks and then answering questions on them to receive a small reward at the end of it. One of the advantages of retirement is the ability to have more time (allegedly!) to pursue one’s hobbies. Sometimes though I need the discipline of a ‘scheme’ to keep me on course. So I went on the internet and printed off a book challenge. It can be done in any time framework but there is a grid of 25 squares each containing a different type of book. The idea is to complete as many lines (5 books) as you can.

I wondered if it would be possible to issue a Bible verse challenge using the same pattern. This is what I came up with…..  Maybe you would like to take the challenge over this Bank holiday weekend?  How long does it take you to complete any one line (vertical, horizontal or diagonal) or the whole grid? You can complete it by writing in the book, chapter and verse reference or write what you remember of the verse if you don’t know where it’s found.
