At you last Messy Church we thought about Pentecost and particularly the “Fruits of the Spirit.” This gave lots of scope for some tasty crafts!
There were bowls of delicious jelly and fruit to make into a fruit salad with our favourite fruits whilst thinking about what they represented.
A concertina fruit tree helped us understand the verse from Galatians5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”
Who knew that fruit painting could be so enjoyable, and Messy?!
There was also a clever apple made out of strips of paper with each of the fruits of the spirit named.
