Moving on

Do not allow your past experiences, your background, your environment, your failure or your broken relationship stop you from moving on.

A football player may have challenges with his team but that would be not be the end of the world. Greater opportunities may be ahead of his or her career.

Life’s journey is filled with hurdles, but true growth comes from moving beyond them. In Zimbabwe, the Kudavana Partnership plays a pivotal role in empowering young adults to uncover their potential, even amidst challenges.

Consider Tapiwa, once a young man facing uncertainty, whose life transformed through the guidance of Kudavana. With their support, he pursued vocational training in welding—a passion of his. Today, Tapiwa operates a thriving welding workshop at a local growth point, uplifting not only himself but also providing employment and mentorship to others.

This story resonates with the wisdom of Desmond Tutu, who once said, “Do your little bit of good where you are; it’s those little bits of good put together that overwhelm the world.” Just like Tapiwa, each act of kindness and support creates ripples of change that extend far beyond the initial effort. No matter what happens never undermine those who advise, assist, and help you to get this sorted before you destroy the seed of your potential.

Furthermore, Isaac Newton recognized the power of building on the progress of others, famously stating, “If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.” Tapiwa’s achievements reflect the potential unlocked when young individuals stand on the shoulders of supportive communities, enabling them to reach new heights. Never refuse to be corrected and praised where you deserve it. Spend most of your time with those who can move you up than those who can move you down the potholes of life.

Helping just one person realize their potential, as Kudavana has done, we can all contribute to a world where dreams become attainable realities, illustrating that the best is yet to come. It would be a tragedy for someone to die with untapped potential just because you and l, didn’t do our small part to help someone.
