At the movies – Hamnet

We have booked a private screening for our next film which will be Hamnet.

Hamnet tells the fictionalized story of William Shakespeare’s marriage to Agnes (Anne Hathaway) and the devastating death of their 11-year-old son, Hamnet, from the plague, focusing on Agnes’s immense grief and how it ultimately inspired Shakespeare’s masterpiece, Hamlet. Directed by Chloé Zhao, the film stars Jessie Buckley as Agnes and Paul Mescal as Will, exploring their passionate love, his ambition pulling him to London, and their shared trauma, making it a story of love, loss, and art’s origins.
