Everlasting flowers

When my older son, James, was a child he had terrible Asthma so he couldn’t run around a lot. Building Lego became a favourite occupation with all pocket money being spent on new bits and birthday and Christmas presents mostly consisting of Lego. I must admit that I enjoyed sitting with him and creating new pieces too. He’s now 41 and Lego still plays a big part in his leisure time. I also have been given quite a few sets as well, over the last couple of years.

My favourite flowers are tulips and the photo shows some with daffodils. They are very easy to look after and only require an occasional flick with a feather duster. They are everlasting flowers.

In our spiritual lives we have an Everlasting Father and his love for us is eternal, but we need to do more than give an occasional dust. We need to live our lives every day, showing God’s love to others. Regular bible study, prayer and sharing worship with others can help us to keep focused.

A prayer:

Thank You, Lord Jesus, for helping us to build a better relationship with You and others. May the building blocks of our lives be used for the good of others.
