We had a great time at our Christmas Café Church last Sunday. After celebrating the month’s birthdays, we first thought about those we will miss this Christmas by adding their names to our memory tree. Then we did our ‘pop-up’ nativity using a mix of puppets and people with a few Christmas carols included. At the end of the service we thought about those we will be sharing Christmas with this year, as we all added decorations to the main Christmas tree. We then finished with one of our favourite songs ‘Ding Dong!’ with the children joining in with their instruments!
Afterwards we shared in a Christmas buffet and there were lots of craft activities in the hall for everyone. A great time celebrating advent and Christmas together, and all the children went home with a goody bag which included a nativity story booklet.
