Joan’s Jottings for 21st March

Dear Siblings in Christ,

We will be worshiping at home tomorrow! I encourage you to keep your normal Sunday rhythm to your lives and to join us in worship.

Tomorrow morning, go onto this website and click on the big picture that says worship at home.  There you will find a recorded video of a whole service for you to watch that I am recording at Museum Street today. Just click the PLAY button, and sit back and watch and participate. There will be hymns, prayers, scripture and a sermon.  We will be talking about fear and God’s love, and we will also mark Mothering Sunday.

For those who do not have computers, the connexion have produced a printable at-home resource. Please print and distribute them to anyone who you know who might like a copy.

Here’s a prayer for today adapted from the New Zealand prayer book.

God of the present moment,
God who in Jesus stills the storm
and sooths the frantic heart;
bring hope and courage to all
who wait or work in uncertainty.
May we be equal to the challenge
of whatever lies ahead.
Bring us courage to endure what cannot be avoided,
for your will is health and wholeness;
you are God, and we need you. Amen.

May God’s peace be with you all,
In Christ
