On my recent holiday we visited Coventry Cathedral. Firstly, we stood in the ruins of the old one, which must have been a magnificent building, and then we walked into the new one. I love stained glass and I just stood and admired the most fabulous window. The colours and patterns were awe inspiring. I then walked further into the cathedral and discovered that round each angle in the wall there was another beautiful window. I kept walking and found more and more and it was only on reaching the altar and turning round that you could appreciate how many designs were incorporated into the building.
These almost hidden windows made me think about daily life. We don’t know what awaits us round each corner but we could discover something beautiful if we just keep walking.
