Singapore Part 2.

Before coming here everyone warned Drew and I about the humidity and they were correct. It is around 33 degrees at the minute but the humidity is quite hard to cope with so air conditioning is very welcome as is the swimming pool. We have also seen torrential rain and plenty of thunder and lightning.

Two of my favourite places which we have visited are The Botanic Gardens and Gardens By The Bay. The variety of trees and plants are beyond description. Even though these trees, shrubs, flowers and sculptures have been planted and made by man it really brought it home to me about God’s wonderful creation. Genesis 1 v 11-13 in The Message says, “God spoke: “Earth, green up! Grow all varieties of seed-bearing plants, Every sort of fruit-bearing tree.” And there it was. Earth produced green seed-bearing plants, all varieties, And fruit bearing trees of all sorts. God saw that it was good. It was evening, it was morning-Day three.”

Singapore is very green, with trees and plants everywhere. God provides the heat and rain to help them grow just as He provides enrichment for us so that our faith may also grow.
